Lockdown is thankfully starting to ease and we are slowly on our way to returning to a new normal. Rippon Cheeses
The team at Rippon Cheese have been going above and beyond during lockdown, and who can resist some delicious gourmet cheese! Here's a little bit about them...
Rippon Cheeses is a small family-run cheesemonger, that has been trading for over 30 years. They have a selection of over 300 cheese currently, covering cow, goat, sheep and buffalo milk. Sourcing the cheese from UK farms and also France, Italy, Germany, Spain - focusing on artisan hand made cheese.
Having lost a considerable amount of business during the lockdown as they supply restaurants and public areas - however, have managed not to reduce our staff numbers or furlough any of the team as we have expanded their retail over the past few months via local offers and in-store promotions and offers. Still open to walk-in customers, who can select from the in-store offer (sadly only 1 customer at a time in the shop)
Rippon Cheeses are offering local deliveries that we take out on foot and drop off on the way to and from work. We are also posting out deliveries to people who are based outside of London, via overnight express. They have also teamed up with other food providers in the area so that customers can order Fish, Meat, Fruit, and veg as well as cheese! If you are looking for something to cheer you up Rippon Cheeses has also teamed up with key caterers to offer cheese plates for home as part of a full at-home meal service!

During the lockdown, we have taken a few steps to ensure customers would receive their favorite wines & spirits in time, including:
Increased number of deliveries per day (3 to 4 times more than usual)
Free UK delivery for any order of 6 or more bottles or over £200
We have always had a large range of half bottles and we have made sure we were keeping our stock at a good level as the demand for smaller bottles was strong during lockdown.
All events have been moved to online events, with various options including live Instagram, ticketed events based on a theme & private events. People have been booking events and we have despatched their wines (mostly half bottles) as far as Lithuania. It has proved very successful.
